Metaphors workshop

Bengtsår, Hanko, Finland
2018

This photo series: METAPHORS was made during the Trojan Horse Summer School. It is an collective study about The Choreography of Money. Can you embody abstract topics trough temporary constructions? We used wood, objects and our bodies as building materials. Everything we were surrounded with on the Iceland Bengtsår; lemonade jerry cans, threads, wooden sticks, fishing rod, polytarp. The participants captured the constructions using six’s disposable cameras.
The workshop explored the potential of working together in group with different disciplines and backgrounds. I tried to leave things open so there was space for interpretation. This method lead to new situations. For example at the end of the workshop we constructed DIY instruments and formed a band together.
